The box the dildo comes in talks about it like it’s a “wacky wavy inflatable arm-flailing tube man.” And in a sense, it has that energy until you put it to use. I couldn’t take this dildo seriously when I first saw it. But then, I started to play, and next thing I knew, I was raving about it. It’s perfect for temperature play, it’s ultra soft to the touch, and curves with your body rather than fighting it. It’s also a perfectly lifelike and average size dildo. My biggest critique is the suction. It doesn’t attach to walls and barely stays on tables. The shower wall is the only place you can suction the dildo to and trust that it won’t slip or detach.

The Monster Octopus Dildo has an incredible, eye-catching design, and when fully functional, it truly provides a world-class, intense experience. The ergonomic shape and the powerful, rumbly vibration are excellent features. ​However, the fact that the primary, signature feature—the intricate thrusting function—died after barely eight weeks means that I cannot in good conscience recommend this toy to anyone. You are essentially rolling the dice on getting only a month or two of the full, intended experience before a major, permanent failure. It is simply too expensive a gamble for a toy with such a high rate of catastrophic quality control failure. ​Final Verdict: 2/5 stars. The stars are purely for the incredible initial design, the comfortable material, and the surviving vibration function. The fundamental, unaddressed quality control issue with the motor is a complete and total dealbreaker at this price point. Save your money for a toy that is built to last and stand by its premium investment.

Overall, I do not think this toy is worth it as advertised. I think that it functions best as a standard dildo and the cons that go with the light function supersede the main point of purchase. I DO NOT recommend this toy for those who struggle with epilepsy from flashing lights or photo sensitives.

The larger you go, the more intense this dildo becomes! I appreciate Lycan’s design a lot. The knots and tapered head provide most of the textural stimulation this dildo provides, which is great since double knotting is a lot to handle. The other texture on the dildo is primarily vertical lines up the shaft, which you can feel but are less stimulating than horizontal textures, in my opinion. With that said, I would not recommend Lycan for beginners to fantasy dildos. The double knot is a lot to handle, especially on the medium size.
